OHIO – The Ohio House of Representatives have passed a bill that will allow college athletes profit from their likeness, image and name after adding a transgender sports ban to the bill.

The amendment aimed at banning transgender women, biologically male from competing in women’s sports

This amendment disrupted the house with banging on the desks, as it was read for the first time by house Democrats against the bill calling it a bigoted amendment.

Republicans argued that transgender women had a unfair advantage against biological women, citing natural biology, and Olympic running times.

The original bill would ban universities and colleges from preventing students to participate in sports based on whether or not they receive money.

The bill will now go back to Senate and if passed it will go to the desk of Governor Dewine for signature.
