ROSS – A Ross county man is looking to find the identification of men who were illegally hunting on his property and purposely stole parts from a trail cam that caught them.
According to the Ross County sheriff’s department on November 20, 2021, Deputy Roderick was dispatched to 700 Block Shepperd Rd on a report of a theft. The homeowner reported that two individuals on ATV’s one a black Suzuki and the other a camouflage unknown brand were caught by trail cam in his woods presumably hunting. The homeowner attempted to find the people on his land but could not, That’s when he went to his trail cam for evidence and memory cards were missing from the camera taken by the same men to try to hide their identity.
The homeowner explained to the Deputy that the theft was futile since the cameras upload photos wirelessly to his phone and provided the sheriff’s department with several images of the men.
