Man Drops off Stolen Vehicle For Repair in Chillicothe

CHILLICOTHE – A man driving a stolen vehicle brought it in for repair on Wednesday in Chillicothe

According to Ross County sheriff, they were called to the scene of Muffler Brothers at 2569 when a man came to the shop to have the exhaust on the vehicle repaired. The clerk told the man that it needed the catalytic converter replaced in order to be legally compliant, but the man said no. He then walked out of the storefront looked in the service bay and walked around the building to never return.

The clerk did some investigative work and realized that vehicle was stolen out of southern Ohio and called the Sheriff department. When the Sheriff’s deputy arrived they confirmed it was a stolen vehicle.

The man was reported to be 5’7″ tall, approximately 190lbs, and wearing a
blue hoodie and camo pants. The clerk states that the male subject was Caucasian with a mustache and goatee, wearing a black and
white American flag toboggan style hat.

Video footage was turned over to the Sheriff’s department, and a tow company came and picked the vehicle up.
