Londonderry Man Arrested After Alleged Assault at Vinton County Bus Stop

Vinton County Sheriff’s Office today announced the arrest of Robert Rutter, 29, of Londonderry, following a domestic violence incident reported on Claypool Hollow Road.

Responding to the Call:

On February 5th, deputies responded to a call on U.S. Highway 50 regarding a reported domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, they initiated an investigation and learned that a female victim had been assaulted on Claypool Hollow Road while waiting for her children’s school bus.

Apprehending the Suspect:

Following leads and gathering information, deputies launched a search for the suspect, believed to be hiding in the nearby woods. Their efforts culminated in the apprehension of Rutter walking on U.S. Highway 50.

Charges and Custody:

Rutter was subsequently arrested and transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. He faces charges of domestic violence stemming from the alleged assault.
