The tale of the two counties did not stop the passing of the levies tonight with a pass of 1613/1302 for the tax levy and 1636/570 for the proposed Income Tax Renewal.
The levy passing was crucial to the school district operating fund making up about 16% of the revenue for the schools. According to the school this fund was needed to pay for existing instructional and extracurricular programs, those programs would suffer cuts if these levies would not have renewed in 2020.
