Local Circleville Councilwoman Honored by the Ohio Federation of Republican Women with its “Tribute to Women” Award

Columbus- Michelle Blanton, a member of the Pickaway County Women’s Republican Club was recently honored by the Ohio Federation of Republican Women (OFRW) with its “Tribute to Women” award. Blanton was recognized for her many accomplishments in support of the Republican Party, the Federation of Republican women and her community.

The Event was held at the Embassy Suites, in Dublin Ohio, during the OFRW annual conference, where Blanton was recognized for the following accomplishments.


Michelle has been a member of the Pickaway County Women’s Republican Club since 2015, serving as publicity chair in 2017 and 2018. She has been an OFRW district vice president since 2018, currently of district 12 and previously, of districts 10 and 13. She is also OFRW’s Cardinal Fund chair, and a member of the OFRW programming committee. Michelle has been a
Pickaway County Central Committee member since 2015. She co-chaired the Pickaway County GOP Trump campaign in 2016, volunteered at the Circleville Pumpkin Show, helped campaign in door-to-door efforts, phone banks, Trump rallies, in Circleville and Delaware, and numerous
other events. She graduated from the Jo Ann Davidson Ohio Leadership Institute Class in 2021. She is an alumna of Ohio Christian University, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in business management, and a master of arts degree in education. She is also a Pickaway Fellow, Class of 2014. She has worked at OCU since 2008 in several offices, but is currently the
director of alumni engagement and annual giving. Michelle and Travis, her husband of 14 years, were foster and adoptive parents for 10 years, and have three children Treyton, Mackenzie, and Elijah. The family is active at Heritage Nazarene Church in Circleville. Michelle also serves on
numerous civic organization boards, and volunteers frequently for community causes.


The Pickaway County Women’s Republican Club (PCWRC), is a member club of the OFRW, a grassroots organization founded in 1929 to encourage and champion women from all backgrounds to engage in the political process at every level of government, upholding the principles of the Republican platform. The OFRW achieves this by campaigning, educating, increasing registered Republicans, and lending support to Republican candidates and
organizations. The PCWRC is also chartered with the National Federation of Republican Women, (NFRW), the largest grassroots Republican women’s organization with over 65,000 active members in local clubs across the nation. The NFRW provides a forum for women to serve as leaders in the political, government, and civic arenas. Further information on either
