LANCASTER – A Elementary school teacher sent some weird and disturbing messages to the mother of one of her students, those messages have the teacher on leave of duty.

A parent of a student at Tallmadge Elementary school raised red flags when a teacher started messaging her about taking over care of her child.

In the messages, it says, “SHE (students name) can come live with me if you want.”

The parent says that the teacher has never contacted her before about the well-being of her elementary-aged child. When the parent requested more information on why she would ask that, the teacher explained that she was home sick and not messaging from school, but wouldn’t go into details other than, “she is very upset, really struggling with peers.”

In a second statement during the conversation, the teacher said, “I’m just willing to take her, but that’s not okay with you. I just couldn’t stop thinking about her.”

According to parent Chey ODiam the teacher was put on administrative leave, but not at first. She said that when she contacted the school they did not take her seriously but after the social media posting the school reversed its position. In her social media posting, she said, “I want all Talmage Elementary parents to be aware, as this is not normal and highly unethical.”
