CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Pickaway County is preparing to host a brand-new celebration of local art and culture as the first-ever Stained Pumpkin Tattoo Convention arrives at the Pickaway Agriculture & Event Center on Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1.
Organized by local founder Ahneka Campbell, the inaugural event aims to unite Ohio’s tattoo community with regional artisans, offering a family-friendly showcase of creative talent in all forms.
“I felt like there was a gap in the connection between tattoo artists and some of the artists in town, and I wanted to bridge that gap and build a community,” Campbell said. “A tattoo convention is a showcase of tattooers and artists of all kinds… It’s definitely got a little bit of everything.”
What Attendees Can Expect
While live tattooing and professional body piercings will be available on site, the convention is designed to welcome attendees of all ages—whether they have tattoos or not.
The two-day event features:
- Artisans & Vendors: Showcases featuring local painters, sculptors, jewelry makers, ceramicists, embroidery artists, photographers, and bakeries.
- Live Music: Performances by musical guests Nick Wright and Trace Hawkins.
- Food & Drinks: Handcrafted mocktails provided by Tootles.
- Family Activities: Face painting by Crystal Colorz, alongside a free children’s activity table hosted by event sponsor ArtsaRound, featuring temporary tattoos, coloring, and hands-on crafts.
