Hocking County Sheriff Reports for the week of April 3

Hocking County Sheriff Lanny E. North reports:

April 3, 2022Deputies responded to Hunt Road to a report of domestic violence. It was reported that the male subject and his wife were in an argument. While Deputies were at the residence the male subject made comments about wanting to harm himself. He was transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for mental health evaluation.

April 3, 2022Deputies responded to Old McArthur Road to a report of verbal domestic violence. Medics from the Hocking County Emergency Services were on the scene treating a male subject who was complaining of chest pain. Deputies spoke to the parties involved and discovered it was only a verbal argument.

April 3, 2022Deputies responded to Mohler Road to a report of theft. It was reported that a van was abandoned on the complainant’s property. Deputies discovered numerous items in the vehicle that were reported stolen. Evidence was collected and pictures were taken. The vehicle was impounded as evidence. The incident is still under investigation.

April 3, 2022Deputies responded to Bickel Road to a report of theft. It was reported that the complainant’s son used her credit card information to purchase online video games. The son agreed to pay the money back that he stole.

April 3, 2022Deputies responded to Maysville Williams Road to a report of verbal domestic violence. It was reported that an argument occurred between a male and female subject at the residence. Deputies spoke to both parties and determined they should separate for the evening.

April 3, 2022Deputies responded to Conrad Road to perform a well-being check on three juveniles. Deputies checked on the juveniles and adults at the residence. It was determined that a copy of the report would be sent to Hocking County Children’s Services.

April 4, 2022Deputies responded to Hayden Place Apartments to a report of domestic violence. It was reported that an argument occurred between the two occupants. Deputies spoke to both parties and had the subject separate for the evening.

April 4, 2022Deputies responded to Feathers Road to a report of sexual imposition. It was reported that a male subject was having a relationship with a juvenile. Statements were obtained and evidence was collected. The incident is still under investigation.

April 4, 2022Deputies responded to Maysville Greendale Road to a report of a violation of a protection order. It was reported a female subject was at a residence she was restricted to be at. Deputies located the female subject hiding in a tote. She later admitted to using methamphetamine and was checked out by Medics from Hocking County Emergency Services. The female subject was arrested and transported to South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail.

April 4, 2022Deputies responded to Pike Street to a report of theft. It was reported that money, cell phone, and bank card were stolen from the victim. Deputies made contact with the suspect who is the complainant’s boyfriend. Statements were collected and evidence was collected. The incident is still under investigation.

April 5, 2022Deputies responded to Hocking Drive to a report of a suspicious vehicle. It was reported an all-terrain vehicle was located behind a business. The vehicle was discovered to be stolen. It was processed for evidence. The all-terrain vehicle was released to its owner.

April 5, 2022Deputies responded to Maxville Road to a report of an animal complaint. It was reported a couple of dogs were killing her livestock. Pictures were taken and the incident was forwarded to the Hocking County Dog Warden.

April 6, 2022Deputies responded to Beach Camp Road to a report of a burglary. It was reported a residence was entered. It was discovered that several items were taken from outside the residence. Evidence was collected and the incident is still under investigation.

April 6, 2022Deputies responded to True Road to a report of criminal mischief. It was reported a vehicle was stuck on the complainant’s property. Evidence was collected and pictures were taken. A tow truck removed the vehicle from the property. The incident was forwarded to the Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office for charges.

April 6, 2022A resident from Jack Run Road came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a violation of a protection order. It was reported a female subject was contacted by a male subject she has a protection order against. Charges were forwarded to the Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office.

April 6, 2022A complainant came into the Sheriff’s Office to report an incident of forgery. The victim reported a cousin forged her deceased mother’s signature to obtain a vehicle title. Deputies spoke to the victim and her statement was taken. The incident is still under investigation.

April 6, 2022Deputies responded to Hayden Place Apartments to a report of criminal damaging. It was reported that a male subject had damaged his property inside his apartment. The subject left before the Deputies arrived.

April 6, 2022Deputies responded to Adams Avenue to a report of an unruly juvenile. It was reported two male juveniles were harassing the complainant. The juveniles have been harassing several neighbors in the area. There are pending charges from previous cases on the one male juvenile.

April 7, 2022Deputies responded to Groves Road to a report of disorderly conduct. It was reported a female subject contacted Fairfield County 911 and stated she needed help. Deputies discovered an argument occurred between the occupants. Hocking County Emergency Services were requested to treat the female subject who was having a panic attack. Statements were collected and the female was later transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for treatment.

April 7, 2022A complainant came into the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office to request a civil standby for a custody exchange. A female subject stated her children’s father was returning the children to her and she was afraid of him. The male subject arrived at the Sheriff’s Office and the exchange occurred with no incident.

April 7, 2022Deputies responded to Jake Tom Road to a report of a missing person. It was reported a female subject had walked away from her residence. Deputies were able to locate the female in a field outside the residence. She was tangled up in briar bushes and found to be intoxicated. She was taken back to the residence where Medics from Hocking County Emergency Services checked her out. She was found to be medically cleared and her husband advised he would watch her.

April 8, 2022Deputies responded to Aztec Lane to a report of a person in a mental health crisis. It was reported a female subject was acting abnormally. Deputies discovered the female was possibly withdrawing from narcotics. The female was transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for treatment.

April 8, 2022Deputies responded to Krafter Road to a report of menacing. It was reported a female juvenile was being harassed by a group of female juveniles. The group of female juveniles was driving past the victim’s residence trying to get her to come out and fight. Statements were obtained and evidence was collected. The incident is still under investigation.

April 8, 2022Deputies responded to Locust Street to a report of an assault. It was reported that a male subject was assaulted at the American Legion by another male subject. The suspect left before the Deputies’ arrival. The victim was transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital via Hocking County Emergency Services. Charges were filed with the Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office.

April 9, 2022Deputies responded to Haydenville Road to a report of child endangerment. It was reported that while the children of the complainant were in the custody of their mother received injuries from being struck by her boyfriend. Statements were obtained and evidence was collected. The incident is still under investigation.

April 9, 2022Deputies responded to Central Avenue to a report of domestic violence. It was reported that a female had assaulted her boyfriend who resides together. Deputies spoke to both parties involved and determined the female subject assaulted the male subject. The female subject was arrested and transported to the South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail.

April 9, 2022Deputies performed a traffic stop on Cupp Road for a traffic violation. During the stop, Deputies recovered a small amount of marijuana and a smoking pipe. The illegal items were seized as evidence and the incident was forwarded to Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office for charges.
