Rockbridge, Ohio – Two residents are recovering in a Columbus trauma center after being injured in a shooting incident on Trillium Way last night. Sheriff Lanny E. North confirmed that deputies responded to a call for service shortly before 9:00 pm on February 1st, encountering the scene of a suspected burglary and subsequent gunfire.

Details remain scarce as the investigation unfolds, but authorities have confirmed the involvement of a male and female victim who sustained gunshot wounds. Thanks to the swift intervention of Hocking County EMS, Laurelville Volunteer Fire Department, and Med Flight/Air Evac, both individuals received immediate medical attention and were airlifted to the Columbus trauma center.

Detectives diligently spent the night piecing together the events, collecting evidence, and interviewing potential witnesses. While the Sheriff’s Office remains tight-lipped on specifics, they have assured the public that updates will be released as soon as information becomes available.

Residents are understandably shaken by the incident, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation. Meanwhile, thoughts and prayers are with the injured individuals and their families as they undergo treatment and recovery.
