Hocking County OH- Three Separate Dog Bite Incidents in Two Days, One Dog Dispatched by Family, Others Quarantined

Hocking County OH- On July 19, 2021 The Dog Warden received an animal bite report from the Hocking Valley Community Hospital. Contact was made with the owner / victim and they were advised of the quarantine procedure to be followed after a reported bite.

On July 19, 2021The Dog Warden received an animal bite report from the Hocking Valley Community Hospital. Contact was made with the owner who advised his niece was bit on the lip by the dog. The owner further stated the dog had been euthanized by a family member before the Dog Warden arrived on scene.

On July 20, 2021The Hocking County Dog Warden investigated a report of a dog bite that was reported through the Hocking Valley Community Hospital. The canine was a family pet and believed to have bitten the child by accident. The canine was ordered to be in quarantine for ten days. Information was forwarded to the Hocking County Health Department.
