Highland County Man Dies in Lawnmower Wreck on Roadway

HIGHLAND – A 62-year-old man was killed on Tuesday night after a wreck between a mower and a car on Highland County roadway.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, the wreck took place around 9:55 PM on SR-28. When a 2005 Ford Mustang was traveling northwest on S.R. 28 hit the slow-moving vehicle operated by 62-year-old Howard Lamb.

Law Enforcement said that Lamb did not have any illumination on the mower when it was struck in the back.

Lamb was pronounced dead at Adena Greenfield Hospital shortly after the wreck. The driver of the Mustang had minor injuries only and refused medical treatment.

The crash remains under investigation by OSP
