Ross County – A former Med care employee has been found guilty of child sex crimes after he took nude photos from a teen while she was in ambulance transport
According to the Ross County sheriff’s office, a teen contacted one of the Chillicothe police school resource officers after learning that photos on her personal phone had been sent to a man who worked for Med Care Ambulance.
Through investigation, the Sheriff’s department learned that during transport in March from Ross County to Columbus Ohio an employee of Med Car Ambulance had requested her phone during transport saying, “she was not allowed to have a cell phone during transport,” and took the phone from her. She told investigators that the worker was behind her while she lay on the cot facing away and he had told her he had put the phone away.
Instead of putting the phone away he accessed her phone and sent three nude photographs and a video of herself nude that she had on her phone to his personal phone. Then he had erased the messages attempting to cover up the crime. The teen later on discovered the messages and texted the number and a man advising he was James Stokes.
Through phone services, detectives could secure evidence and make an arrest. James Stokes, 25 was found guilty yesterday in Pickaway County Common Pleas court of four counts of Pandering Obscenity involving a minor, he was sentenced to 48 months in prison, $5,000 fine, Tier II Sex Offender Registration for 25 years
