Goodwill of South Central Ohio will be hosting a day camp for adults with disabilities in August.
Dream Retreat will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 1-5, 2022, at Buzzard’s Roost, 514 Red Bird Lane in Chillicothe. The camp is open to individuals with disabilities ages 18 and older who reside . There is no cost to attend.
Campers will participate in a variety of activities during the week including: hiking; a scavenger hunt; cornhole and other games; arts and crafts; music and dancing; gardening; tie-dye; karaoke; and off-site trips interacting with community agencies.

Goodwill has been offering a summer day camp for individuals with disabilities since 2020. The camp is a joint venture between Goodwill, the Ross County Park District, and the board of developmental disabilities in Ross, Pickaway, and Pike counties.
Goodwill is a nonprofit agency focused on partnering with individuals with disabilities and challenges to help them lead the lives they envision across our eight-county region: Athens, Fayette, Hocking, Jackson, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, and Vinton. As of May 2022, Goodwill of South Central Ohio, based in Chillicothe, is serving 262 people across its region.
