FREE EVENT – Deer Creek Dam Days Festival Celebrates Local Heritage and Fun in Pickaway County

Williamsport, OH – As summer approaches, the Deer Creek Dam Days Festival gears up to honor local heritage and provide family-friendly entertainment from May 29th to June 1st, 2024. Located in Williamsport, Ohio, the festival promises a blend of festivities, concerts, competitive events, and attractions for all ages.

The festival kicks off on Wednesday, May 29th, with a lineup of exciting events, including the Festival Royalty Queen Contest. Participants can check in for the parade lineup at Main & Walnut at 5:30 PM, with the parade commencing at 6:00 PM. Meanwhile, Queen Pre-Judging takes place at the Williamsport Gym on the Park. The day concludes with the 2024 Queen Contest on the Main Stage at 7:00 PM.

On Thursday, May 30th, the festivities continue with Troop 343 from Five Points, Ohio, conducting a Flag Retirement Ceremony at 6:00 PM. Later, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM, the Beer Garden opens, offering a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the evening. Live music by Mark Pennington adds to the ambiance from 7:30 PM onwards.

Friday, May 31st, promises more excitement with the Beer Garden open from 4:00 to 10:30 PM, providing refreshments for festival-goers. Jacob Brown takes the stage at 7:00 PM, followed by Mother Hubbard at 8:00 PM, ensuring a lively evening for all.

Saturday, June 1st, marks the grand finale of the festival, with activities beginning at 11:00 AM and continuing until 11:00 PM. The day includes highlights such as the Kids Fest from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, featuring various activities sponsored by Pettits and OhioHealth. Additionally, the Baby Contest, a perennial favorite, begins at 11:00 AM, followed by the announcement of Visiting Queens at 4:00 PM.

Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy thrilling rides, indulge in delicious food, and participate in contests like the Hot Dog Eating Contest and the Pedal Tractor Pull. The festival also hosts a Fish Fry Sale, with proceeds benefiting the Deercreek Dam Days Festival and the Heber Lodge.

As the sun sets on Saturday, live music by The “Dam” Band, Damon Michell, and Adam Calvert fills the air, ensuring a memorable conclusion to this year’s Deer Creek Dam Days Festival.
