Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Responds to Road Rage Incident Involving School Bus

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office commended the swift response of its deputies in addressing a road rage incident that endangered a school bus full of students. On Tuesday, April 23, around 3:30 PM, patrol deputies were dispatched to Sturbridge Road and Beacon Hill Road in Prairie Township, Franklin County, Ohio, following reports of an altercation.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies discovered that a school bus driver had honked her horn at a driver who had cut her off. Subsequently, the driver aggressively confronted the school bus, posing a threat to the safety of the 22 children on board. The individual proceeded to punch a window of the bus, causing it to break.

In response, deputies swiftly launched an investigation, locating and apprehending the aggressive driver. The individual now faces charges including menacing, criminal damaging, disorderly conduct, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and obstructing traffic.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of the community and emphasized the importance of collaboration in maintaining a secure environment for all residents. Authorities urged continued vigilance and cooperation among community members in upholding public safety standards.
