Columbus Zoo Offers Free Admission to First Responders


POWELL – The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is offering free passes to first responders the week after Christmas.

During the week of the holiday season responders work long hours and sometimes holidays. So its been a tradition for the Zoo to offer the week after for First Responders, said a spokesperson for zoo.

Persons who qualify are:

  • Firefighters
  • EMTs
  • Paramedics
  • Uniformed police officers
  • State Troopers
  • Boder patrol agents
  • Deputies
  • Criminal investigators
  • investigators
  • evidence technicians
  • firearms examiners
  • crime lab technicians
  • 911 dispatchers
  • correction officers
  • hand writing examiners
  • intelligence analysts
  • investigative assistants

A vaild fire or police photo id is required for the free admission. This includes retired and current individuals and up to 5 guests. the offer is from December 26 to January 5th.
