CIRCLEVILLE — The Circleville Police Department logged more than 100 calls for service between Friday, August 15, and Sunday, August 17, 2025, ranging from extra patrol checks to more serious incidents including assaults, burglaries, and property damage.
The weekend began with a series of extra patrols throughout the city, many of which were conducted on North Court Street, Villa Drive, and Bolens Avenue during the early morning hours of Friday. Most of those checks were cleared without issue.
At 3:14 a.m. Friday, officers responded to North Court Street for a report of a suspicious, intoxicated person, resulting in a report being filed. Later that morning, police handled a civil problem on Pontious Lane and investigated a homeless person complaint on Morris Road.
Throughout Friday afternoon and evening, officers took reports of property damage on South Court Street and Lancaster Pike, along with a non-injury crash on East Main Street. A burglary in progress on West Mound Street at 4:24 p.m. led to an arrest, while later that evening, threats and harassment complaints were reported on both East Ohio Street and Lancaster Pike.
Saturday’s activity included an assault report just after midnight on Walnut Street, a warrant arrest on East Ohio Street around noon, and two separate domestic trouble calls—one on East Franklin Street and another elsewhere in the city. Officers also issued a warning after a traffic stop on Lancaster Pike and responded to a series of alarm drops throughout the day.
By Sunday, reports included a burglary on East Franklin Street, a stolen vehicle on Highland Avenue, and property damage on West Mound Street. Officers also handled multiple juvenile complaints, a suspected drunk driver that could not be located, and a hit-skip crash on Walnut Creek Pike.
The weekend concluded with officers checking a fire call on West High Street just before midnight Sunday.
In total, Circleville police recorded 107 incidents during the three-day period. Several investigations remain ongoing.
