
CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department marked a busy weekend, processing exactly 100 calls for service between Friday, July 10, and Sunday, July 12, 2026. Routine patrols and active enforcement led to multiple arrests, domestic interventions, and property crime investigations across the city.
Weekend Arrests and Domestic Disputes
Domestic Arrest on E. Ohio Street: Officers responded to multiple domestic disturbances over the weekend. While incidents on S. Scioto Street, E. Union Street, Gumm Place, and Pontious Lane required mediation or formal reports, a call on East Ohio Street Saturday evening at 7:31 PM resulted in an immediate arrest.
Double Warrant Apprehensions on Logan Street: Local authorities successfully executed two separate warrant arrests on Logan Street on Friday. The first arrest occurred during the morning shift at 8:14 AM, followed by a second warrant pickup at 1:38 PM.
Property Damage, Vandalism, and Theft
Property crimes kept officers moving across multiple neighborhoods, including reports of targeted fraud and structural damage:
Vandalism and B&E Attempts: Early Sunday morning at 12:34 AM, officers responded to West Main Street, where a formal report was filed for property vandalism. On Friday night, units also investigated a reported breaking and entering on Logan Street, though no report was ultimately taken.
Theft and Fraud: Financial and property crimes began early Friday at 4:01 AM with a major fraud complaint on Lancaster Pike. Additionally, theft reports were filed on S. Washington Street Friday afternoon and Fairview Boulevard Saturday morning.
Protection Order Violation: Officers were twice dispatched to a residence on John Street on Friday following complaints of a violation of a protection order. A formal report was generated during the first response at 3:56 PM.
Fires and Traffic Incidents
Vehicle and Structure Fires: Emergency personnel handled three fire calls. Circleville Fire was requested for mutual aid on SR 674 S early Saturday morning, followed by a structural fire response on Kime-Holderman Road later that afternoon. Late Sunday night, police and fire units finalized the weekend by mapping out a vehicle fire investigation on S. Washington Street at 11:41 PM.
Trespassing Complaints: Trespassing violations surged on Sunday morning. Officers filed back-to-back reports for individuals unlawfully on properties on South Pickaway Street at 9:46 AM and North Court Street at 11:18 AM.
While numerous parking citations were issued and minor business checks cleared safely, all unresolved property and domestic cases remain under active review by the Circleville Police Department.
