CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — A Circleville man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to amended charges stemming from a drug investigation that began with a disturbance call earlier this year.
The investigation started on March 19, 2026, when officers with the Circleville Police Department responded to a disturbance near Pearl Avenue and South Pickaway Street. One suspect fled on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers.
During the arrest, police recovered suspected narcotics, leading investigators to obtain a search warrant for a nearby residence. The search uncovered approximately 114.82 grams of suspected narcotics and 31 individually wrapped foil packets believed to contain illegal drugs.
Following the investigation, Nasir Crockett, 18, was indicted on multiple felony charges, including aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, possession of cocaine, tampering with evidence, vandalism, child endangering, and obstructing official business.
According to Pickaway County Common Pleas Court records, Crockett has now pleaded guilty to an amended Count 1 of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, a first-degree felony involving cocaine. As part of the plea agreement, the remaining charges were amended or dismissed.
Judge Matthew Chafin sentenced Crockett to a mandatory prison term of five to seven and one-half years on the first-degree felony conviction.
Crockett also pleaded guilty to Count 3 Trafficking in a fentanyl related compound and was sentenced to 18 months in the custody of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. The court ordered that sentence to run concurrently with the mandatory prison sentence, meaning both sentences will be served at the same time.
