Circleville City welcomes additional nurses into schools

Circleville City Schools – With the recent retirement of one of our beloved school nurses, Mrs. Karen Borland, this past December, the district and Berger Health Systems have furthered their partnership by providing additional nursing support moving forward.

While daily healthcare procedures for students under our care will remain the same, we wanted to introduce our families to the new Berger nurses who will be assisting with phone calls, treatment, and medication administration in the coming months.

Nurse Jaime McKeivier is in her 5th year at Circleville City Schools tending to the health and wellness of PK-12 students.

Our talented nurse Jaime McKeivier will continue to oversee the medical records, logistics, and needs of all 2,200 students in the district, but will now be supported by on-campus Berger nurses Mrs. Rachael Knapp and Mrs. Angela Baer. Baer and Knapp will take turns rotating through each of the three district buildings to assist with the medical needs of our students.

Some Tiger staff and students have already had the privilege of working with these two new faces on campus as they have previously been involved in district health care initiatives in the form of the county convenience clinic and the Berger-Tiger Care Clinic for students which rolled out earlier this school year.

Baer, pictured below, is a returning Circleville City alumnus and has been at Berger since October 2016. When she is not serving her community through health and wellness initiatives, she also serves as a mom of a four: Jessica, Ashley, Tyler, and Hayden.

Rachael Knapp, pictured below, has also been involved with the Tiger Family in the past serving our staff and other area government employees in the Berger’s county Convenience Care Clinic where she has been for the past three years. In addition to her role as a nurse, Knapp is a proud mom of three: Caleb, Cameryn, and Cohen.

Circleville City Schools welcomes Mrs. Knapp and Mrs. Baer into the fold on campus starting this month and thanks Berger Health Systems and Berger CEO Tim Colburn for their extended efforts in promoting and fostering a culture of health and wellness in our schools.
