
Chillicothe, OH – Local law enforcement officers responded to a variety of incidents across the city on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, handling cases ranging from traffic violations and disorderly conduct to drug-related offenses and a weapons complaint.
Traffic Stops and Violations
Several drivers were cited throughout the day for speeding and other traffic-related offenses, including stops on North Bridge Street, South Paint Street, and East Main Street. Officers also conducted speed enforcement using radar in multiple areas, resulting in citations.
Criminal Incidents and Investigations
One of the more serious calls occurred at the BP gas station on East Main Street, where officers responded to a report of an individual waving a firearm. The suspect was charged with “Having Weapons While Under Disability – Alcohol or Drug,” and an investigation is ongoing.
Additionally, police investigated drug-related offenses, including trafficking and possession of drugs, as well as the possession of drug abuse instruments. Several individuals were detained, and investigations remain active.
Warrant Arrest and Disorderly Conduct
During a routine patrol in the Riverside Street area, officers arrested Sadie Woodruff on an active warrant for failure to appear on an intoxication charge. She was taken into custody and transported to the Ross County Jail, where she awaits a court appearance.
Later in the evening, officers responded to reports of disorderly conduct, threats, and criminal mischief, including an incident at Olive Garden involving property damage.
Child Abuse Report
Chillicothe police also received a complaint from a Children Services worker regarding an alleged child abuse case. Authorities are actively investigating the matter.
With 27 reports filed throughout the day, Chillicothe officers remain vigilant in addressing public safety concerns. The investigations into several incidents continue, and police urge residents to report any suspicious activity.
