Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents Across City

CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a wide range of incidents throughout the city on April 15, 2026, according to the department’s daily media report.

Officers began the day serving a warrant early in the morning, followed shortly by a response to a reported domestic dispute on Allen Avenue. That investigation remains ongoing. Additional disorderly conduct complaints were reported throughout the morning, including incidents along North Paint Street and Scioto Avenue.

Police also conducted a welfare check on a juvenile on Cedarwood Drive late in the morning. The situation remains under investigation.

Around mid-morning, officers were dispatched in connection with an assault report tied to a location on Mohawk Lane, with initial contact made at a North Bridge Street business. Authorities say that case is still under investigation.

Traffic-related incidents were also reported during the day, including a non-injury crash and a citation for a traffic violation.

In the afternoon, officers served multiple warrants at the Ross County Jail, including individuals facing charges related to theft and unauthorized use of property. Another individual was taken into custody at the Ross/Pickaway County line on an outstanding warrant and transported to jail, where he is being held pending a court appearance.

Police also responded to a possible trespassing and theft complaint on Old Eastern Avenue, as well as a domestic-related disturbance on Plyleys Lane that resulted in an arrest.

Additional reports included criminal mischief incidents, such as property damage on Cliffside Drive and a forced entry complaint on Dayton Street, where a back door was reportedly kicked in.

Evening calls included a disorderly conduct complaint tied to an alleged assault near Scioto Street and Riverside Drive, as well as a theft and receiving stolen property investigation on East 5th Street.

Officers also handled a report of an unruly juvenile and a separate incident involving a pedestrian on North Bridge Street who was cited after nearly being struck by a vehicle while crossing outside of a crosswalk.

Several of the cases remain under investigation.
