Chillicothe Becomes Part of Ohio Holiday Lights Trail

CHILLICOTHE, OH – Shine On Chillicothe’s light display, lighting Yoctangee Park for the holidays, is ready to put you in the holiday spirit with more lights than ever! This year the display features a Field of Memory Spheres honoring loved ones that are no longer here.

Along with a new activity, a Holiday Tree Walk, adding to the festivities where twenty-five Christmas trees will be decorated to represent a tree sponsor’s organization or with a special holiday theme.


The Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited to share that Shine On Chillicothe will be featured, for the first time, in the annual “Holiday Lights Trail,” a compilation of the state’s most impressive light displays curated by Ohio. Find It Here., the state’s tourism division. The Ohio Holidays Lights Trail contains 55 displays which is the largest since its inception six years ago. Ohio. Trail as part of the state’s campaign to encourage residents and visitors to enjoy holiday events, attractions, and activities across Ohio.


“We’re very proud of the accomplishments and recognition that Chillicothe and Ross County has received this year.” Stated Melody Young, Executive Director of the Ross- Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Having Shine On Chillicothe featured in the Ohio Holiday Lights Trail is a great way to end the year and spread the word about this beautiful display. The Shine On Chillicothe committee has done an amazing job in raising funds to continually expand the festivities. It’ll be the perfect year to showcase the
holidays in Chillicothe.”
