Buckeye Lake North Shore Park Receives $10 Million for Improvements

Columbus, Ohio (March 3, 2024) – State Representatives Jeff LaRe (R-Violet Twp.) and Kevin Miller (R-Newark) secured $10 million from the Strategic Community Investment Fund for Buckeye Lake North Shore Park and Pier.

Project Aims:

  • Improve Ohio’s first State Park
  • Enhance the area’s growing tourism industry

Funding Source:

The Strategic Community Investment Fund is part of Substitute House Bill 2, which allocates historic investments for local projects across Ohio. These investments will be included in the larger State Capital Budget bill, a two-year construction budget for capital projects.

Current Status:

House Bill 2 is currently awaiting consideration by the Ohio Senate.
