Update: One Flown in Critical Condition from 2-Vehicle Crash in Ross County

Ross – A possible two-vehicle crash occurred in Ross county around 8 pm on Friday night.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, on September 16, 2022, at approximately 8:05 P.M., a 2003 Dodge Durango, driven by
Tyler Frazier, and passenger Devan Purnell, both of Londonderry, Ohio, was traveling southbound on SR-159. A 2011 Subaru Forester, driven by Phillip Schaible, of Cincinnati Ohio, was traveling northbound on SR-159. Mr. Schaible failed to yield to Mr. Frazier’s vehicle while turning left and was struck head on.


Mr. Fraizer was treated and released at the scene by Union Township EMS, while Mr. Purnell was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center by Green Township, EMS for minor injuries. Mr. Schaible was flown from the scene to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.


Green Township Fire and EMS, Union Township EMS and the Ross County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.
