CHILLICOTHE – Chillicothe Police responded to a gunshot wound after a breaking and entering call last night
According to Chillicothe police, Around 11:22 pm last night Chillicothe Police Department was dispatched to the area of N. Sugar St in reference to a burglary. Officers located female suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The female was transported by CFD to ARMC and later was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. Chillicothe Police Department Detective Division is investigating the incident.
According to reports, emergency personnel from medic 3 and medic 1 were dispatched to the scene around the 1400 block of sugar street after police arrived and were told to step it up.
Shawn Ely was arrested shortly afterward for charges of receiving stolen property and felonious assault.
