BREAKING: Officer Attacked and Injured After Police Chase in Ross

ROSS Bainbridge- Breaking News out of Ross county with the second police chase. We have information on the first one but have not posted it yet.

According to scanner reports, an officer started a traffic stop around 11:30 pm and instead of stopping the driver sped away. The officer was able to get the driver to stop at Main and Quarry rd but the driver refused to get out.

In the car was the driver and two other occupants, pit-bulls. Backup was called in and the officer put a bite sleeve on but while fighting with the suspect out one of the pit-bulls attacked the officer or the suspect hit the officer, but police were still able to get the man in custody.

Two ambulances were sent to the scene and this is currently ongoing.

Dog warden has been called to scene to capture the pitbulls that are now at large.

According to the scanner the officer injuries are the lower lip and jaw, the officer said, “im spitting blood.”

Both suspect and officer are being transferred to Adena
