US – Hyundai and Kia are recallin g more than 550,000 vehicles in the US after turn signals can flash in the opposite direction than what the driver intended.
The recall covers Sonata midsize cars from the 2015 through 2017 model, Sonata gas-electric hybrids from 2016 and 2017. Kia’s Sedona minivan from 2015 through 2017 also is affected.
The company says that a junction box is to blame, it may not be interpreting signals properly. No injuries or accidents have been reported from this.
The recall will allow dealers to update the software at no cost, notifications, if you have one of these vehicles, it will be mailed to you next month.
