Hillsboro – Put your paws together, K9 Harley is retiring today after 8 years of service! Harley, a Belgian Malinois who is now 10 ½ years old has been a member of the Hillsboro Police Department since 2015.
Harley was certified with the State of Ohio and worked as a dual-purpose dog (Patrol/Narcotics). Harley has been an instrumental member of the Hillsboro Police Department and truly loved by the citizens he served.
Sergeant Adam Day has been Harley’s handler and will continue to care for Harley in his retirement years. Harley is looking forward to a normal sleep schedule, sleeping in, and plenty of treats for all his hard work.
Sergeant Adam Day is thankful to the community for everything they have done to show their support for K9 Harley throughout these 8 years.
