Surrounded by his family, Andrew (Bubby) Kieth Tatman, 39, went home to be with Jesus early Monday morning, April 13, 2026. He was born in Lancaster, OH on November 2, 1986 and soon after changed the lives of Roger and Sally Tatman, who God chose to be his parents. Andrew is survived by his parents, sister Caroline (Shawn) Marks, nephew, Micheal Marks, and soon to be niece/ nephew, Baby Marks fall 2026, and special brother Timothy Thomas and his children Corbin, Kenna, Annalise, Zion, Eden, and Mercy Thomas, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Andrew is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Denver and Nellie Webb and paternal grandparents Arthur and Barbara Tatman. Andrew touched the lives of everyone that met him. There are no words to truly describe him, but if we were to try, special would be at the top.
Roger and Sally waited patiently for many years for the opportunity to adopt a child, with many ups and downs in the process. But in the winter of 1986, God in His divine plan, blessed them with not just one child, but two. Knowing the upcoming adoption of their daughter Caroline was approaching, Roger and Sally were asked to foster a sweet little newborn until they found him placement. With one look of that precious boy, Roger and Sally were now in the process of two adoptions, simultaneously. And that is how this blessed journey began…
Andrew struggled with many health issues, but through the selfless and vigorous care by his parents, Andrew lived a joy filled life, with more love than most could ever imagine. Andrew learned very young to communicate through different means like telephone books, story books, and eventually the Ipad. Never having been taught to read, Andrew knew how to spell and navigate his computer to express his needs and wants…and his wants were many! Andrew loved to travel in his RV to different malls across the states, he loved certain businesses like Morton Building Inc, where they visited many times and were met with merchandise like hats, t-shirts, and new catalogs. He loved his birthdays, and being sung to, and of course opening presents. Andrew was also a risk taker and adventurist. He had no fear. He loved his amusement parks and the bigger the roller coaster, the better. But most of all, he loved the Pumpkin Show. Without anyone reminding him, he knew when it was the third Wednesday in October. If you have ever walked East Franklin Street, you would see him anxiously awaiting the parades. For over 30 years, family gathered there to watch and spend time with Andrew. The Pumpkin Show will be quite different from now on.
The family would like to thank all the special caregivers, who spent time with Andrew throughout the years, with special thanks to Wendy Dunlap, his current caregiver. Most fell in love with him, and saw him more than just a client. And the biggest thank you to his best caregiver, his devoted father. Without his attention to detail, years of constant research, and his strong advocacy, Andrew would not have had the rich quality of life he had. Andrew had the biggest and best smile, and if he liked you enough, you might get a huge kiss…but those were set aside for only a few. Andrew was a bright and shining light that had a special effect on even those who were strangers.
Andrew made his last trip, to his final destination…Heaven. The Holy Scripture
tells us that we will receive new glorified incorruptible bodies. Rest assured, Andrew Keith Tatman is running and singing on this day!
