LANCASTER, Ohio — Following a disappointing 2025 season where severe weather forced the cancellation of several signature events, the Lancaster Festival is making a triumphant, full-scale comeback.

The 42nd annual celebration will run from July 17 to July 25, 2026, offering nine days of world-class music, art, and family-friendly experiences. Capping off the festivities is the highly anticipated Grand Finale Concert on July 25, headlined by seven-time GRAMMY Award-winning country trio Lady A.

A Fresh Artistic Vision
The festival’s return marks a milestone for its new Music Director, John Gennaro Devlin, who began leading the Lancaster Festival Orchestra last year. Known for his innovative programming and deep passion for American music, Devlin is set to guide the orchestra through a diverse lineup that ranges from classical compositions to Broadway hits.

“Every year, the Lancaster Festival brings top-caliber entertainment and art to our community thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and volunteers,” said Deb Connell, executive director of the Lancaster Festival. “The arts enrich our lives and invigorate our community in a way nothing else can. We are so grateful to be back this year.”

This year’s headliners bring a powerful blend of legendary hits and rising talent to Fairfield County:

The Grand Finale (July 25): Lady A will perform alongside the Lancaster Festival Orchestra. The trio—famous for their 12x-Platinum hit “Need You Now” and 11 No. 1 country singles—brings global star power to the final night.

Covered Bridge Music Series (July 22): Making its first appearance since a pandemic-induced hiatus in 2019, this beloved series returns to the Wendel Concert Stage at Ohio University Lancaster. Rising country singer-songwriter Allie Colleen will perform an intimate evening of folk, Americana, and country music.

Free, Family-Friendly Community Events
A cornerstone of the Lancaster Festival is its commitment to accessibility. Many of the week’s events are free or low-cost, allowing all residents to participate.

Families can look forward to the daily Noon at the Square concert series, the Children’s Corner hands-on activities, and the popular downtown ArtWalk.
