CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Circleville police officers responded to dozens of calls for service over January 27 and January 28, ranging from extra patrols and traffic stops to theft investigations, domestic disturbances, and injury crashes, according to the department’s latest media call-for-service report.

During the overnight hours of January 27, officers conducted multiple extra patrols across neighborhoods including East Circle Lane, South Pickaway Street, Lincoln Avenue, Clark Drive, and East Main Street. Police also completed business checks, alarm drops, and responded to reports of suspicious persons and disabled vehicles, most of which were resolved without incident.

Later that morning, officers investigated a reported theft on Barry Drive and responded to several 911 hang-up calls throughout the city. A threats and harassment complaint was taken on North Court Street in the early afternoon, while additional thefts were reported later in the day on U.S. 23.

Domestic-related calls were reported in the evening hours, including incidents on Cheyenne Drive and East Mound Street. One domestic disturbance required emergency squad response but was handled on scene without transport. Another domestic call later that night resulted in no report being taken.

Police activity continued into January 28 with more extra patrols and well-being checks. Officers responded to multiple traffic crashes, including injury accidents on U.S. 23 and Northridge Road. One of those incidents resulted in a victim being transported to the hospital.

Theft and property damage complaints were reported on Clinton Street, Highland Avenue, and West Mill Street, while suspicious vehicle and suspicious circumstances calls were handled across several locations. Officers also responded to a natural gas or electric-related incident on East Circle Lane, which was reported as contained.

Several domestic trouble calls were logged throughout the day, including one on Gale Court that resulted in an arrest. Additional arrests were made later in the evening, including a reported intoxication arrest on Cottage Hill Lane.

Fire-related calls, traffic details, alarm drops, and mutual aid responses rounded out the department’s activity over the two-day span. In total, Circleville police documented 68 calls for service during the reporting period.

Police encourage residents to report suspicious activity and remind the public that timely reporting helps officers respond more effectively.
