CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Circleville police officers responded to more than 100 calls for service between January 23 and January 25, according to a media report released by the Circleville Police Department.

The activity log shows officers handled a wide range of incidents, including traffic stops, extra patrols, domestic trouble calls, accidents, alarms, and wellbeing checks throughout the city.

Several traffic stops resulted in warnings or citations, including stops on East Ohio Street, West Main Street, and South Court Street. Officers also responded to multiple non-injury traffic accidents, including hit-skip incidents, with reports taken in several cases.

Domestic-related calls were reported across multiple neighborhoods, including incidents on West Water Street, Barry Drive, South Washington Street, and South Court Street. Some of these calls resulted in reports being taken, while others were cleared after officers were unable to locate involved parties.

Police also handled numerous 911 hang-up calls, most of which were checked and cleared without further incident. In addition, officers assisted with disabled vehicles, parking complaints, noise complaints, civil process service, and animal-related calls—many of which were referred to other agencies.

Extra patrols and business checks made up a significant portion of the activity, particularly during overnight hours, as officers checked streets including Clark Drive, Springhollow Road, Pickaway Street, Court Street, and Main Street. Most of these checks were completed without issue.

Emergency responses during the reporting period included a hazardous spill that was cleared, a fire on Baker Road that was reported as contained, and an injury accident on East Mound Street that was cleared at the scene.

Police remind residents that extra patrols and business checks are conducted to deter crime and ensure public safety, especially during overnight hours and periods of increased activity.
