
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Circleville police officers responded to 39 calls for service on Monday, August 18, ranging from routine extra patrols to reports of domestic trouble, threats, and vandalism.
The day began with a series of overnight extra patrols across several city streets, including Court, Pickaway, Main, and Franklin streets. Around 2:54 a.m., officers were called to Clinton Street for a domestic trouble complaint, where a report was taken.
Later in the morning, officers responded to a suspicious person report on Morris Road, though the individual was gone on arrival, and to a non-injury crash on Lancaster Pike, which was handled at the scene by emergency crews.
Other notable incidents included:
- Trespassing complaint on North Court Street at 11:36 a.m. (report taken).
- Juvenile complaint on Hillcrest Drive, but no one was located.
- Several well-being checks on Pickaway, Main, and Logan streets.
- Threats/harassment complaint on Highland Avenue (report taken).
- Vandalism on Dearborn Avenue at 9:16 p.m. (report taken).
- A fraud complaint on Wood Lane, though no report was filed.
- A suspicious circumstances call on Detroiter Avenue late in the evening, with officers unable to locate anyone.
The department also assisted with civil process paperwork service, handled 911 hang-up calls, and provided mutual aid to the Circleville Fire Department for a fire response on U.S. 23 in the afternoon.
Circleville Police continue to investigate several of the day’s reports.
