Circleville Police Respond to 47 Incidents on July 31

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Circleville Police Department responded to a total of 47 calls for service on Wednesday, July 31, 2025, ranging from routine patrols to more serious incidents including reports of threats, theft, and breaking and entering.

Throughout the early morning hours, officers conducted extra patrols across several locations including U.S. Route 23, West Franklin Street, North Court Street, and East Main Street. All checks were found to be in order.

At 1:07 a.m., a warrant was served on Island Road, with another later in the day on North Paint Street. Just after 8:20 a.m., police responded to Alma Avenue for a threats and harassment report, and again at 4:28 p.m. on North Court Street for a similar incident.

Officers took multiple reports throughout the day including a juvenile complaint on East Franklin Street at 9:50 a.m., a dog bite on South Court Street at 1:36 p.m., and a breaking and entering incident on Watt Street at 2:08 p.m. Another breaking and entering call came in from South Washington Street later that afternoon, which was referred to another agency.

A well-being check on Watt Street at 2:24 p.m. resulted in an individual being transported to the hospital by emergency medical services. Police also responded to a reported burglary in progress on Meadow Drive, which was cleared after checking the scene.

Domestic disturbances were reported twice — once on Gumm Place at 8:48 p.m. and again on Cottage Hill Lane shortly before midnight, with the latter involving assistance from another agency and a report being filed.

A violation of a protection order was reported at 10:47 p.m. on Tower Court, and theft was investigated on Timberline Drive earlier in the evening.

Several traffic stops occurred throughout the day, with warnings and citations issued on U.S. Route 23, South Washington Street, and North Court Street.
