Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust in Circleville

On June 3, 2024, a routine traffic stop in Circleville, Ohio, resulted in the arrest of Flora Hershel, 41, of West Virginia, on drug-related charges. Officer of the Circleville Police Department pulled over a silver Toyota Celica with a West Virginia license plate on US 23 at Sperry Drive.

Upon discovering the vehicle’s registration was linked to a Ford Taurus, The Officer initiated a traffic stop and found Hershel operating the vehicle with a suspended license and fictitious tags. A free air sniff from the Circleville K9 gave probable cause for a search of the vehicle revealed 1.8 grams of methamphetamine and a glass drug pipe.

Hershel was taken into custody and charged with possession of drugs, driving under suspension, and fictitious tags. He was transported to Pickaway County Jail and issued a citation with a court date of June 4, 2024, at 0800 hours in Circleville Municipal Court.

The vehicle was impounded, and the incident is under investigation. This bust highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to combat drug trafficking and keep communities safe.
