18 Year Old Pickaway County Man Sentenced to Prison for Stabbing Crime

Pickaway County – Judge Knece did not go easy on the 18-year-old who stabbed several people at a campground in Pickaway county and sentenced him to the maximum sentence that the courts would allow.

According to Pickaway County sheriff’s office, on 6/02/23 they were dispatched to Deer Creek Camping report located at 13380 Crownover Mill Rd. for a triple stabbing call. When they arrived deputies found several people bleeding from stab wounds, an off-duty fire chief was on scene and told the deputy that the suspect had left the scene and went to a camper lot not too far from the scene. When approached the then 17-year-old told deputies that he had gone to the lot of the victims and said rude comments because he was upset that they had got him kicked out of the park. A confrontation occurred, then a fight broke out. During the fight now 18-year-old Jackson P.
Brooks pulled a knife out and started to stab the victims, he reported he stabbed the male first then a woman, and when a bystander came in he was stabbed also.


One stabbing victim was flown to Grant Medical, and the other two were transported to Grant by ambulance.

Jackson Brooks of Zanesville was found guilty this week to two counts of Aggravated Assault and sentenced to 36 months in Orient prison for his crimes.
