Teays Valley West Middle School guidance counselor Joyce Duchak recently received a $500 grant to purchase items for the students that go along with the Signs of Suicide Program, which they rolled out last school year in partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
“Thank you so much to the Teays Valley Educational Foundation for awarding us this grant. The phone accessories and emblems will serve as a constant reminder to our students that it is always important to ‘Acknowledge, Care and Tell’ when one is concerned about another,” Duchak said. “We are excited to give these to all of our students. This gift will serve as a nice follow up to our Signs of Suicide Program that we recently facilitated in partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital.”
TVEF board member Joy Hoover is pictured presenting the check to Mrs. Duchak and some West students.
