Ross County Extends Mitigation Strategies for Weeks

ROSS – Ross County Health District has extended the migration strategies due to spread of COVID-19.

“We understand the hardship of this pandemic. We, like many in our community, are tired and weary. However, we have not given up our fight against the COVID-19,” said Ross County Health District, “Now is not the time to ease up on our fight against this pandemic.”

The Ross County Health District is recommending the following:

Schools are recommended to cease all extracurricular activities and youth sporting events.

Community festivals, events and gatherings should be suspected

Businesses and government offices are strongly advised to have all staff to work from home and implement teleworking, as necessary.

Churches and houses of worship strongly advised not to meet in person and to use online or dive-in options

Community, governmental, social and other similar organizational meetings are strongly advised to be held virtually

All residents are encouraged not to gather with people outside their households.
