OHIO – Yost has gone on record after seeing online posts saying that facemarks restrict carry conceal laws, saying thats not true.
“The correct answer is that in Ohio, concealed carry laws do not prohibit a citizen from carrying a concealed firearm while wearing a mask as long as that person is carrying their concealed carry license and abiding by all Ohio concealed carry laws,” said Attorney General Dave Yost.
Yost released the statement after a number of inquiries from Ohioans regarding whether or not wearing a mask protecting from COVID-19 would interfere with the right to carry.
