CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — An out-of-town driver was cited Tuesday afternoon after driving the wrong way down a one-way street in Chillicothe, causing a two-vehicle collision that sent one person to the hospital.

According to a daily media report released by the Chillicothe Police Department, officers responded around 3:21 p.m. on Oct. 6 to the 100 block of East 4th Street. Investigators determined that Linda Ross was traveling eastbound the wrong way when her vehicle struck a westbound vehicle driven by Marvin Woodfork Jr.

Ross told responding officers that she was unfamiliar with the area and did not realize East 4th Street was a one-way road. Woodfork was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center after reporting back and neck pain. Ross reported no injuries and was issued a citation for a one-way street violation, with a court appearance scheduled for Oct. 16 in Chillicothe Municipal Court.

The collision was one of several calls handled by Chillicothe officers throughout the day on Tuesday, Oct. 6:
