Ohio — June 3, 2025 — After a stretch of sunshine and warm temperatures, Southern Ohio residents should prepare for a wetter end to the week, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Tonight will bring clear skies and a mild low of 65°F, with light winds out of the south. On Wednesday, expect bright sunshine and a high near 89°F, with a calm start giving way to a light southwest breeze.

Clouds will start to roll in Wednesday night, though conditions remain calm with another low near 65°F. By Thursday, the weather takes a turn — showers and thunderstorms are expected by afternoon. Rain chances soar to 80% with highs near 86°F, and storms may bring brief downpours.

Thursday night will continue the soggy trend, with thunderstorms possible before 8 p.m. and lingering showers after. Lows remain steady at 65°F, and the rain chances stay high at 80%.

Friday looks to be the wettest day of the week, with a 90% chance of showers and possible thunderstorms. Daytime highs will cool slightly to around 81°F, and rainfall could total between a quarter and half an inch.

Rain and storms may persist into Friday night and Saturday, with continued chances for thunderstorms and a high near 78°F. Conditions will begin to improve by Saturday night with partly cloudy skies and a low of 56°F.

Sunday will bring some welcome relief, with partly sunny skies and a pleasant high near 79°F.
