Pickaway – Teays Valley 42 Hamliton Township 0
The Scioto Post game of the week turned out to be the game of the year for the Vikings. These two teams have played very close games over the past 5 years including a 9-8 Ranger win in 2018. Teays Valley broke the game open in the second quarter scoring early and often. The Vikings continue to show that defense and special teams can and do win you big games against good competition. Leading the Vikings on defense was defensive end Dale Hubbard who amassed 6 sacks along with causing havoc in the backfield nearly every play. A blocked punt, scoop and score by Riely Weiss started the scoring in the 2nd quarter that led to a 28-0 halftime lead. The Vikings averaged over 8 yards a carry with Weiss and Mcdanel surpassing the 100 yard mark. Hamilton Township was never in this game and they fall to 3-4 on the season. The final score was 42-0. The MSL co-leading Teays Valley Vikings take their 5-2 record to Roundtown next week where they will face the struggling Tigers of Circleville.
