US – Veterans day is a celebration of US veterans and victims of all wars. The holiday is held on the anniversary of World War 1. The holiday replaced Armisitice Day in 1954.

Since then companies have been celebrating this day giving back to veterans and their families. Here a list of around the area companies that are celebrating with freebies to people who gave to this country.

Applebee’s Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal from a limited menu at participating Applebee’s on November 11. Dine-in only. Visit the Applebee’s website for details.

Buffalo Wild Wings is offering a free order of 10 boneless wings and fries for all veterans or active-duty service members this Veterans Day, November 11. Guests are asked to bring a military ID to enjoy their free meal, up to $10, at participating locations. This tribute to Veterans is available at Frisch’s dine-in, drive-thru and carryout.

Gold tar Chili Veterans and active-duty military receive a free 3-Way & drink when they visit any Gold Star location this Veterans Day, November 11.
