Tragedy Strikes Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Parade: Multiple Shot, Including One Fatality

Kansas City, MO (February 14, 2024) – A celebratory atmosphere turned tragic at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade today. Gunshots rang out near the parade’s end point at Union Station, leaving multiple casualties.

According to police reports, shots were fired near the parade’s conclusion, injuring twenty-two individuals. Sadly, one person has succumbed to their injuries, while eight others remain in critical condition and seven have sustained serious injuries.

Authorities quickly apprehended three individuals suspected to be involved in the shooting. Witnesses are encouraged to gather at the southwest corner of Pershing Rd and Main St to assist with the investigation.

“All individuals in the vicinity are urged to depart the area as swiftly and safely as possible to allow medical personnel to attend to the victims,” the Kansas City Police Department wrote in a statement shortly after the incident.

The parade has been officially dispersed, and the Chiefs players have been safely evacuated from the area.
