PICKAWAY COUNTY — As food insecurity continues to rise across the region, the Well Being Foundation has announced a series of swift, targeted grants aimed at supporting local organizations serving residents in need.

The foundation awarded a total of $24,500 to seven community groups that provide food assistance throughout Pickaway County. The recipients include:

  • Westfall CARES
  • Blessings in a Backpack
  • Ashville Food Pantry
  • Emergency Clearinghouse
  • Community Kitchen
  • Community Cupboards
  • The Table

Each organization plays a key role in helping families and individuals facing hunger, a need that has grown more urgent as many residents experience reduced SNAP benefits. The grants are intended to strengthen ongoing local efforts to ensure no one in the community goes without access to food.

The Well Being Foundation is also encouraging residents who are able to consider donating to these organizations or any group serving vulnerable populations, emphasizing that community support is essential during this time of increased need.
