Teenager hospitalized in Columbus after E-bike collides with truck at Circleville intersection

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — A teenager was rushed to a Columbus trauma center Wednesday evening following a serious collision between an electric bicycle and a truck at a local intersection.

Emergency crews responded to the area of Northridge Road and Garden Parkway at approximately 6:45 p.m. on July 1, 2026, following reports of a vehicle crash involving a juvenile.

According to initial reports, the teenager was riding an electric bike when they collided with a truck. First responders treated the teen at the scene before transport crews rushed the victim to nearby OhioHealth Berger Hospital.

Due to the nature and severity of the injuries, medical personnel subsequently transferred the teenager to a higher-level trauma facility in Columbus for specialized care. The current condition of the teen has not yet been released.

Northridge Road was briefly impacted as emergency units cleared the scene and gathered evidence. The identity of the truck driver and the exact cause of the crash remain under investigation by local law enforcement.
