ASHVILLE, Ohio – Today marked a special occasion at the Ashville Police Department as several kindergarten students from Teays Valley took a solemn oath to uphold safety and responsibility in their community.

Under the watchful eye of Chief George and Officer Cline, the young students participated in a ceremonial swearing-in ceremony, symbolizing their commitment to being responsible citizens. Chief George and Officer Cline emphasized the importance of safety and highlighted some of the essential duties carried out by police officers.

Excitement filled the air as the children were given a firsthand look at a police car and its equipment, always prepared to respond to emergencies at a moment’s notice. The opportunity to explore police equipment served as an educational experience, fostering a deeper understanding of law enforcement operations.

As a token of their participation, each student was presented with their very own certificate, commemorating their induction as junior officers of the community.

The event not only instilled a sense of civic duty in the young participants but also strengthened the bond between law enforcement and the community they serve.
