CIRCLEVILLE – If you live in Circleville one of the biggest complaints is trains and trains stopping on the tracks blocking our Northside from our Southside. Mayor Mcllroy has been aiming for a solution for years and says that 2021 is the year.

During January 19th Circleville Council meeting Mcllroy announced plans in the works for grade separation on one of the railroad crossings in the city as a plan for 2021.

Grade separation would move traffic over the railroad tracks and a stoppage of a railroad would not impede traffic. This would help with traffic but also safety forces that are headquartered on the Northside of Circleville reach the south side without a possible stoppage in an emergency.

The issue with grade separations is that they are costly, this is why Mcllroy reached out to the newly elected State representative of OH-78 Brian Stewart, and former Pickaway Commissioner for possible help with funding.

Watch below as Circleville Mayor and Representative Brian Stewart discuss the goal.

Tonight the city will discuss with American Structure Point, INC on the grade separation.
